The switching process was easy, the customer support was great, and all of the features i was looking for in a software were there for a third of the price of Mindbody.
I just hate software in general. I'm not tech savvy, so this whole undertaking made me really nervous.

She helped me fine tune things I was already doing and gave me great suggestions to make more use out of the automated emails and even use my website to drive more traffic to my studio. Not for start ups. Not for solo entrepreneurs. Not for Canadians. Prices are expensive.
Comentarios: So so. I found their accounting pushy for money as Nuvei whom they work for. I just was getting harassed every day about if I had my documents in order for onboarding. As an entrepreneur, sitting at my computer for 8 hours, going through all I am going through with no support, making my own website, creating everything on my own, I just found this a bit much. ALso this is a company that has received billions of dollars of investments, there is no reason they can't give Canadians a $50 start up fee as well. They're losing absolutely nothing by doing that. They obviously must have. a Canadian banking account if they're paying all these Canadians, and the managing director is Canadian so why am I paying American dollars. I just think it's completely false advertising and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. My yoga studio across the street used to use them. I should ask her why she left but she went to momence. I'm sure pricing had to do with it. Now as for the software. Seemed pretty easy to use and set up but there were limitations. I kept getting messages saying if I wanted to change certain items on my dashboard or with classes, I had to contact my onboarding specialist. I mean for $279/ month I have to contact an onboarding specialist to alter how I wish to list payments, or classes? I thought this really odd.

I would not recommend this to a Canadian. My three stars is because it is not cost effective for Canadians. The software is comprehensive. It seems to do just about anything. Makes scheduling classes easy and has many options for extended classes as well as a variety of teachers and staff. Policies are easy to create. Classes are easy to create. Scheduling is made easy. Great automation. Emails seemed okay. Onboarding super helpful. Very user friendly.
Contras:
System can seem a little complex. You have to get your onboarding specialist to unlock certain things, even though you're paying an outrageous price for the software. Nuvei if using them is really pushy. Almost desperate in their selling approach. It is NOT LOCAL. It IS NOT CANADIAN. PRICES ARE IN AMERICAN DOLLARS. I also didn't like that they offered me a $50 start up discount and I even confirmed if I could have this and at 3 months and my first bill was $80.60. When I asked I was told once again, they are an American company and that it is $80.60 in Canadian plus taxes (which I get back) they seem to think! IF i get taxes back, otherwise I get nothing back! SO that left me very unimpressed. An American paying $50 start up fee, if they only have $100 has $50 left. A Canadian paying a so called $50 fee at $80, out of $100 has $20. Not even with exchange does that work out. There is a way they could make it $50 for everyone. Also they have all Canadian staff to make it seem like it's Canadian but it's NOT. I was told initially it was then in the email asking about the $50 start up, I was told it was an American company. You can't edit a class. You have to delete it and add another one to make any changes to it. I couldn't always make the onboarding times as a solo preneur who also has a dog, and maintenance activities in my own home and dealing with my business space that I was trying to set up. I felt like everything was really rushed, and I get they try to get you up and running in two weeks or less, but obviously this works if you have a team. When you're alone, this is not even remotely plausible.

High Performance Product with Tons of Features
Comentarios: Overall, WellnessLiving has been a very good fit for our business. We are please to see improvements to the booking flow for families and anticipate that there will be future updates that will improve the experience for parents who are booking classes for their children. There is so much functionality in this software and we have benefitted from the use of SMS, push, email, forms and so many of the other features.

WellnessLiving is a comprehensive and high-performance platform for scheduling, booking and payments. We use it for our youth fitness and gymnastics facility and find it to be relatively easy and generally intuitive. We are still uncovering all of the features and learning what settings work best for our business, but so far, we are very happy with our decision to use WellnessLiving.
Contras:
The biggest challenge we’ve faced is the booking interface for families. They have made significant updates to this on the web app, but the mobile app is cumbersome and difficult for families to use. The process of creating a “family” account is also not very easy for users, leading us to spend a lot of time fixing accounts, linking family members to the accounts and updating the billing preferences.

Wellness living review
Comentarios: Overall we find excellent features in the product and it makes running a busy business much more autonomous. It gives are users far more options and choice because of this.

The features suited my business needs 95% and it was cheaper than my previous package which did similar things.
Contras:
Costs rose after the first year and bespoke items like the mobile app increased by a lot. It felt like these static products were being hiked in price for very few feature additions. We ended up cancelling the bespoke app due to the price rises and actually found not many of our users utilised it.

Find another system! this review is from a user of 8 (long) years with WL
Comentarios: they are not the best software and we have tried to love them tried to give them time to fix the issues (8 years long enough, you think?), but they are slow moving to fix things and fast moving to add upgrades that are untested and don't work when you try to implement them anyway. You have to pay for services you don't use nor plan to ever use and you cannot trust that any part of their system will work on any given day. its hugely unreliable. Sometimes appointments show up as paid and sometimes they don't. Sometimes you can send an email and sometimes you can't. Some days everyone gets their texts and the next day the same students don't. sometimes the classes are deducted from the pass and sometimes they aren't. The worst is when you call support they act like your issue is false and that it's not happening on their end and the system is perfect. oh-but since you are experiencing an issue (they don't believe is happening) here is a time consuming and confusing workaround to use. They will never fix the issue. and if they do, trust me the fix is temporary! it will be messed up on the next update. we hold our breaths (that's actually funny when you teach yoga) when WL says hey- update coming! we are like OH NO, whats going to go wrong this time? and how many hours will we have to use to fix it, workaround it and convince support hi, there is a major issue with the system...again. I am writing this review right now because there was another update last Tuesday and a patch fix today and I needed to send out a timed email at noon today, and the system wouldn't even give me the option to send an email at all today. LOL , my partner was like, well what did you expect? and I was like but the email looked so nice, too bad no one will ever see it. :( and I don't want another business to go through what we have been through. Life is too short to use a software that works only when it feels like working. find something else. But if you like troubleshooting and that makes you happy, then this is your best bet for that - you will be very busy! LOL

I like that I can take care of class passes, appointments. and sometimes it works, when it works its great, when it doesn't-well, the rest of the story is later.
Contras:
emails don't work when you need them, updates are not tested at all and cause huge issue upon release. Sales reports are consistently a few dollars off. depends if are you using 2 different computers, different browsers maybe a phone... we crack up. I always ask my partner can you give me the approximate sales today? Its never accurate, ever. Sales tax report is no longer accurate. it was for a couple of years, but the latest update changed that too. Merging duplicate clients and the ability to keep a current client data base is impossible. Updated clients is the heart of a small business. and our poor little biz heart is totally outdated. 1/3 of our client list is outdated because WL won't update their merging system. you must pray (if you pray) that your future clients have never used WL elsewhere in their past.. that old account will be a forever account even if the client WANTS you to update their info. you can't. you will either have duplicate clients or outdated lists. its your choice which style of confusing client lists you prefer. at least WL gives you a choice there, LOL.

Comentarios: Amazing! Moving to WellnessLiving was a real game changer for us - both in our onsite locations and for our virtual offering.

The ease of use, for both our members and our staff. It is extremely easy to work with, even for those that are not very tech savvy, and if you have a question the Support team is always there to help and they generally reply with a video so you know exactly what to do! I really like that videos, marketing, etc., are all a part of the software and do not rely on third party subscriptions and integrations. I also appreciate that they are open to enhancement suggestions from their users.

Nothing. I really appreciate everything they offer and that they are open to improvement suggestions as well.

Comentarios: After a ton of reserach, we decided to dump Mindbody 2 yrs ago & go with Wellness Living as it was more affordable & had more options available as part of the basic plan to help our business. After covid we needed to cut our expenses. Everything was an extra charge with Mindbody. We love Wellness Living & all the many extra features available for us for much less than Mindbody.

We love that we have our own branded app! Everything is set up to make reserving classes, purchasing memberships, canceling reservations, & checking their schedules so easy since they can do everything directly on their phones.
Contras:
We would like the option to have a longer reservation window (2weeks out) for our higher tiered membership.

Comentarios: Service goes out completely. It happened four days ago and the only information I get is when I contact them, they keep reeling me to wait. The software is not user friendly, functions and setting change out of nowhere, so hard to navigate, sometimes you have to use the app because the desktop version is so hard to use. There is so much more

Better Solutions are out there
Comentarios: It is a poor experience overall unfortunately, there are much better business management software solutions out there

Aside from the scheduler for selecting a class, the other features are objectively very poor. The store for merchandise and the redemption of member points literally has never worked for me and I have to utilize a workaround for redeeming my points.

WELLNESS LIVING is the WORST COMPANY we have ever worked with!
Comentarios: I do not typically write reviews, but my experience with Wellness Living has been so horrendous that I feel compelled to share. We decided to cancel our service due to the constant errors, glitches, and limitation to major functions that are key to the daily success of a business. They funnel all their calls through one service number which often they do not even answer. I cancelled our account in September via phone and via email to have a record and now it is December and we are STILL being charged despite multiple confirmation emails that we have been cancelled! How is this possible?! Every time I call in, they make me go through the same process AGAIN, there is no option to speak to a manager, no other number or email that can help you if you are not being helped. They just continue to take our money and pass us around over and over again without anyone taking ownership or accountability. This is seriously the worst and most frustrating experience I have ever had in customer service. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! Please save yourself the heartache!!

I did not like the fact that they have a annual contract each year. Ensure you know that before signing up. I was unaware of this. I thought it was month to month after the first year!
